The UST ChES placed third in the overall PIChElympics 2018 last February 25, 2018 at the Laguna Sports Complex, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Women's Basketball (WBB) team placed second while both Men's Basketball (MBB) and Mixed Volleyball (Mixed VB) teams claimed the third spot. Marianne Ross Lagman from UST was hailed as MVP for the Women's Basketball.
This year's sportsfest entitled "IGNIS: PIChElympics 2018" was organized by the University of the Philippines- Los BaƱos alongside the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers-Junior Chapter Luzon (PIChE-JCL). An annual event tailored to the students to engage them in sports, it aims to foster and strengthen the rapport of the members as well as to promote competitiveness and sportsmanship.
Seven schools participated in the said event namely Batangas State University (BatSU), University of the Philippines-Diliman (UP-Diliman), De La Salle University (DLSU), Mapua University (MU), Adamson University (AdU), Technical Institute of the Philippines-Manila (TIP-Manila) and University of Santo Tomas (UST).
PIChElympics 2018 concluded with Batangas State University as overall champion. Adamson University, Mapua University and Batangas State University won the Men's Basketball, the Women's Basketball and the Mixed Volleyball, respectively.
Allan Arnold Palma (from AdU MBB), Marianne Ross Lagman (from UST WBB) and Marco Llanto (from BatSU Mixed VB) were awarded as MVPs.

Lagman shared her learnings and experiences inthis event,
"Yung natutunan ko is napakahalaga ng team work. Rush lang yung pag buo ng team and wala ring practice, pero nag second place parin. Goal lang namin is to play and have fun so di namin inexpect na manalo. Super nakakapagod yung games pero worth it yung pagod kasi super nagenjoy kaming lahat."

UST ChES was the overall champion in last year's PIChElympics for winning both Men's and Women's Basketball and placing third in Mixed Volleyball.
