Registration started at around 6pm where attendees started crowding the venue in costumes portraying a variety of movie, fairytale, and cartoon characters as well as personalities. The program opened with a doxology from the UST ChES Chorale and was followed by the opening remarks delivered by Engr. Jhulimar Celedonio, a faculty member from the Chemical Engineering Department. Aside from the peculiar costumes, activities and games such as Trial and Che-rror - where a pair of a student and a faculty member were tasked to guess a certain object inside a box by the description given by one of them - welcomed the attendees.
Performances from talented ChE students, including Marie Catangay, ChE Guild, Marien and Russell, Aliquot Band, Jed Dizon, Nichol Manio, Nickole Codico and Reizl Leguiab, and Ervin Jayag and John Raphael Manuel serenaded the audience during dinner. A dance number from the UST ChES Executive Board and Executive Associates also elated the crowd as the night went on.
One of the highlights of the event that really got the crowd excited was the kickoff for The Thomasian Chemical Engineering Youth Ambassadors and Ambassadress, wherein the candidates who will be competing for the titles next year were introduced. The audience was ecstatic when candidates started to take over the center stage and charmed the crowd with a dance number followed by a mini question and answer portion for the candidates.
An intermission dance from ChEDC formally opened the dance floor where everyone started dancing their hearts out. The party ended with the closing remarks from one of the project heads, Kathleen Arcaya, who - in a separate interview - stated, “I am proud to say that we were able to utilize the talents and skills of all the committees of the org and all of which contributed to the success of the event. With a reliable co-project head and a good team behind us, we were able to give a GA to the chemical engineering students that is unlike any other GA they have been to.”
